Fig Leaf 2023

2023年度版 Fig Leaf バーレイワインの限定樽のリリース第二弾です！ このバッチは2023年6月に醸造され、2023年8月にパッケージされたものです。 2024年にバッチの半分をリリースし、 その後、残りの樽に更なる熟成を重ねました。

アロマはフルーティでモルティな香り、ココナッツ、ドライチェリー、無花果にキャラメルが混じり合っています。 その下層にはシナモンとバニラとほんのりウッディな薫りが感じられます。フレーバーも同様で、苦味と甘味の程よいバランスによりまとまりのある仕上がりになっています。 口当たりはふくよかでソフト。 1年以上の熟成により、よりスムースで深みのあるビールになりました。

20L樽は数に限りがございます。 ただし、20L樽はチルド配送の重量制限を超えるため、チルド無しの常温発送になりますことをご了承下さい。 通常であれば常温発送は行いませんが、このビールは1年半冷蔵室ではなく常温（温度はやや低め）で熟成させており、まだ気温もそれ程高くないため常温発送で問題はないと考えております。

We are releasing a limited number of kegs of our 2023 Fig Leaf barleywine.  The batch was brewed in June 2023 and packaged in August 2023.  We released half of the batch in 2024.  Since then we have been aging the remaining kegs.

The aroma is full of fruit and malt.  Coconut, dried cherries and figs mix with caramel notes.  Underneath that are hints of cinnamon and vanilla along with a little woodiness.  The flavor is similar with a sweetness that is balanced by the bitterness so it never gets out of control.  The mouthfeel is full and soft.  The extra year of aging has made this an even smoother and deeper beer.  

We have a limited number of 20L kegs available.  However, these kegs must be shipped via regular post because they are above the weight limit for cool shipping.  We normally would not do this but since this beer has been aging at room temperature for a year and a half we don't feel there will be any issues.
