When we brewed a big 12% alcohol stout, we filled our mash tun to the brim with malt and only took the first runnings for that beer. We then added more water and got a much lighter wort.
Baby Stout is a wonderfully easy drinking 4% stout. The oats and crystal malts give it a satisfyingly smooth mouthfeel. The aroma and flavor are full of coffee, dark chocolate and caramel. It's a great beer to go with savory winter dishes.
